Ranking May 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

7. War Machine

War Machine Brad Pitt
Netflix

RottenTomatoes Score: 56% (5.6/10)

Box Office: Made for $60 million, the Brad Pitt-starring war satire was released straight to Netflix, so there's no opening weekend to worry about.

Verdict: Writer-director David Michôd (Animal Kingdom, The Rover) turns in a watchable if relatively underwhelming war satire that's left in need of big, smart laughs, though Brad Pitt gives a fun lead performance and it does offer up some genuinely educational observations about the War in Afghanistan.

Still, the stacked supporting cast deserved to be put to better use, and as one of the first major collaborations between a certified A-lister and the streaming giant, you'd certainly expect it to hit harder.
