Box Office: The $59 million animated sequel underperformed in its opening weekend, and to date has just barely cracked $75 million worldwide. Home video will help it out, but it's still a far cry from the success of the 2011 original (which grossed $194 million against a $36 million budget).

Verdict: As forgettable and unimaginative as you'd expect for an animated sequel nobody asked for, Sherlock Gnomes may be solidly animated, but the voice cast - even a well-cast Johnny Depp as the titular porcelain detective - largely sleepwalks their way through this deathly dull romp.
