By far the best entry into Cage's late-day STV cachet is this terrific buddy cop thriller about two disillusioned cops (Cage and Elijah Wood) who decide to pull off a heist in order to secure their futures.

The chemistry between Cage and Wood is what really cements this one: they're deliciously entertaining together, aided by a surprisingly funny script that makes the most of this pairing.

It's sharply directed, nice to look at and knows when to get serious, plus Cage is as off-the-wall as you'd hope. In short, one of his better recent efforts.
