Ranking November 2018's Movies From Worst To Best
4. Widows

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 91% (8.1/10)
Box Office: Steve McQueen's widely-acclaimed dramatic thriller couldn't translate strong reviews and Oscar buzz into commercial success, with the $42 million film only barely recouping its budget after almost a month on release. Tragic.
Verdict: McQueen takes a sharp left-turn into pulpy genre film territory with Widows, a sublimely performed and directed heist drama elevated significantly by Viola Davis and Daniel Kaluuya in particular.
Gillian Flynn's more uneven script flirts with silliness on occasion, but the actors are so damn persuasive in their roles it's tough to care too much.
With the likelihood of it scoring a Best Picture nomination, it's also sure to end up one of the more accessible nominees next year. If it's still in cinemas near you, don't sleep on it.
