Ranking November 2018's Movies From Worst To Best
5. The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 92% (7.8/10)
Box Office: Straight-to-Netflix.
Verdict: Propped up by a brilliant cast despite the fundamental unevenness of the anthology format, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs is an undeniably minor effort from the Coen brothers, but provides just enough rewards for those craving a patient western romp.
Particularly note-worthy are Tim Blake Nelson, Tom Waits and Zoe Kazan, not to mention Bruno Delbonnel's eye-wateringly good cinematography (which absolutely must be viewed in 4K if you have the means).
Pacing issues aside, it's a distinctly singular effort from the Coens as usual, and an interesting experiment for the filmmaking duo.
