Rotten Tomatoes Score: 73% (6.4/10) Box Office: The Final Girls had an extremely limited theatrical release alongside its VOD bow, but with no financial information to speak of, it's pretty likely that the movie did only minimal business. The Verdict: A cult horror classic in the making, this meta horror comedy takes great delight in lampooning the genre's tired tropes all while saluting them at the same time. It's a film hopelessly in love with the genre despite its faults, and as a result will be an easy sell for horror hounds everywhere. Get on board with the ridiculous premise (a group of teens get sucked into a horror movie and must fend off tropes left and right) and what's revealed is a hilarious horror that's handicapped somewhat by its PG-13 rating (there's no boobs and not much blood), but nevertheless is on-point with its satirical critique.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
