Ranking October 2017's Movies From Worst To Best

20. The Snowman

The Snowman Michael Fassbender
Universal

RottenTomatoes Score: 8% (3.2/10 average score)

Box Office: Made for a modest $35 million, this adaptation of Jo Nesbø's hit novel tanked at the box office, likely due to negative reviews. At the time of press, it still hasn't made its budget back.

Verdict: Despite impressive cinematography and an all-star cast, The Snowman is a colossal bore, failing to do much with its admittedly generic narrative, while lead Michael Fassbender looks like he wishes he was literally anywhere else.

That's without even mentioning Val Kilmer's baffling cameo, nor the abundance of peculiar subplots that add so little to the overall product. A massive snoozer and one of the most disappointing movies of the year.
