3. Amanda Knox

Mark Wahlberg Deepwater Horizon Eva Green Miss Peregrine
Netflix

RottenTomatoes Score: 85% (7.7/10)

Box Office: Amanda Knox was released direct-to-Netflix, so there's no box office to speak of.

Verdict: After years of tabloid headlines about "Foxy Knoxy", what a delight it is to see Netflix distribute a rigorous, serious examination of the Meredith Kercher murder trial, featuring new interviews with infamous (and eventually acquitted) suspect Knox, an investigating police officer and, of course, a slimy member of the insatiable news media.

While there's evidently still a lot left up in the air about the case, the doc does an excellent job balancing perspectives (even if the filmmakers clearly have a side) and creating a well-nourished account of the facts.

If you've got even a cursory interest in the case or true crime as a whole, this is an absolute must-see.
