Box Office: Produced for a modest $60 million, the latest Peter Berg-Mark Wahlberg collaboration opened well below expectations, and has just barely made its budget back. Those planned sequels sure ain't happening.

Verdict: Though appropriately brutal and boasting a solid cast, Mile 22 never becomes more than a generic, forgettable action thriller hampered by some of the most chaotic and nonsensical editing you'll see in any movie all year.

Despite the consistency of the previous collaborations between director and star, this is an irritating, charmless film that squanders almost all of its potential. At least it's only 94 minutes long...
