Batman Forever might be a more serious movie than Batman & Robin, but Val Kilmer is still not a fear-based Batman. This version appears in public to talk to Commissioner Gordon and there are no scenes of Batman using the shadows to intimidate any of Two-Face's goons.

So, Val Kilmer’s version does not have opportunities to show off how scary he is. The most intimidating part about him is that no matter how ambitious Two-Face is at trying to kill him, no matter the elaborate deathtrap, he is relentless in getting out of the situation, only to be ready for the next round.

At least this Batman has some teeth, ready to lobotomize his enemies if it means stopping them, like when he batarangs The Riddler’s giant brain-wave hub, leaving him with permanent severe brain damage.
