4. Bullet Tooth Tony

Snatch Brad Pitt
Sony Pictures

Who: the epitome of the Vinnie Jones hard-man, played majestically over-the-top. Why do they call him Bullet Tooth? Because he has bullets for teeth.

What he knows about diamonds: he doesn't have to know about diamonds in order to follow a trail. This certified hard-nut comes highly recommended as a jack-of-all-trades PI, bodyguard, and enforcer extraordinaire, which is why Avi hires his services in locating Franky Four Fingers - and with him, the diamond.

The dangerously-reputed Tony is introduced bashing some poor chap's head with a car door and he doesn't let up with the violence - in both actions and words. He proceeds to lead Avi through London's grimy underworld, leaving chaos and destruction in his wake.

Against all expectations, however, Bullet Tooth Tony meets a shocking end courtesy of a ricocheting shot from the woefully misfiring Avi. But then, maybe it's no surprise - those who bite with the bullet bite the dust by the bullet.

Best quote: In one of the film's most memorable scenes, Tony is pretty cocksure when it comes to dismissing Sol, Vinny and Tyrone from their poor attempt to rob him. "The fact that you've got 'replica' written down the side of your guns - and the fact that I've got 'Desert Eagle .50' written on the side of mine - should precipitate your balls into shrinking... along with your presence."
