Ranking The Best Movie In Every Major Comic Book Franchise
9. Superman
You'll believe a man can fly, and you'll definitely believe that nobody will ever make a Superman movie better than Richard Donner's original given that Warner Bros. have spent over 40 years and two reboots trying to make it happen.
At this rate, Christopher Reeve will likely never be replaced as the big screen's definitive Man of Steel, which is fully deserved given how perfectly he captures the essence of both the socially-awkward Clark Kent and his costumed alter-ego.
The sequel comes awfully close to matching the first movie in terms of quality, but the sheer groundbreaking nature of Superman and the unforgettable mix of heart, humor, serious stakes and old-fashioned wonder see the 1978 classic remain the Big Blue Boy Scout's best-ever outing.
