Ranking The Best Movie In Every Major Comic Book Franchise

8. X-Men 2

Batman Blade Wonder Woman
20th Century Studios

Bryan Singer's X-Men saw the comic book movie return to the forefront of the public consciousness, and the boom still isn't over even two decades later.

That said, it was the sequel that truly established that the X-Men would always be at the forefront of the genre's resurgence.

With the world-building out of the way, Singer was free to take the follow-up in a new direction, throwing in some social and political subtext wrapped in the leather catsuit of the heroes themselves.

Bigger doesn't always mean better, but it certainly did when it came to X2, with the increased sense of spectacle never once getting in the way of the story being told.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
