Ranking The Best Movie In Every Major Comic Book Franchise

23. Ant-Man And The Wasp

Ant Man And The Wasp
Marvel Studios

The Marvel Cinematic Universe's smallest superhero isn't supposed to save the universe or travel to distant planets, with the Ant-Man franchise deliberately positioned as a palate cleanser from the franchise's typical bombast, so on that front it definitely succeeds.

Casting Paul Rudd as a superhero is genius whatever way you look at it, and as one of the writers the eternally-youthful star tailored the scripts to his strengths, which has always involved having a sturdy ensemble cast to bounce off, which has been a winning formula for the Ant-Man movies so far.

With Scott Lang and his supporting cast fully established, the sequel was ironically able to go bigger, throwing new challenges at our hero in the process. A refreshing change of pace from the studio's usual template, Ant-Man and the Wasp is the superior effort of the MCU's two light and breezy capers.

I don't do social media, so like or follow me in person but please maintain a safe distance or the authorities will be notified. Don't snap me though, I'll probably break. I was once labelled a misogynist on this very site in a twenty paragraph-long rant for daring to speak ill of the Twilight franchise. I stand by what I said, it's crap.
