5. Salman Khan ($33.5 Million)
Rank On List: 7th Place How's this for impressive? Salman Khan, whose closest equivalent in the US might be Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, has featured in the highest-grossing Bollywood movie of the year on nine separate occasions; a box office record in India. And his latest flick, 2015's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, is currently the second highest-grossing Bollywood movie of all-time. Khan, like his contemporary Akshay Kumar, has made his name as one of Bollywood's most bankable - and famous - stars through a combination of films spanning every genre imaginable: rom-coms, action films, musicals, dramas and the rest. Though he's primarily renowned as an action star nowadays, Khan has shown a talent for highly dramatic performances in acclaimed films such as Baghban (2003) and Tere Naam (2003). He's a force to be reckoned with, and a talented, versatile actor to boot. Rather soberingly, he is set to begin a 5-year jail stint in 2015 on account of vehicular manslaughter.
