3. Amitabh Bachchan ($33.5 Millon)
Rank On List: 7th Place Though you might not know his name, Amitabh Bachchan is considered to be one of the best and most famous actors Indian actors ever. Like, of all-time. He has been a staple of the Indian box office since the early '70s, having appeared in the iconic films Deewar and Sanjeer. Due to the similarly rash, underdog-like characters that he played in said films, Bachchan became well-known as India's first "angry young man." Now, aged 72, he's still commanding a yearly salary of $33.5 million, which is undeniably impressive for somebody who has been making movies for over 40 years. As an actor, Bachchan is thought to have few equals on his home turf, and indeed his performances in the classic films Annad (1971) and the more recent Black (2005) are plainly masterful. Interestingly, Bachchan has only appeared in a single Hollywood flick: 2013's The Great Gatsby, in which he played gangster Meyer Wolfsheim. "A friendly gesture," he called it.
