7. Jennifer Lawrence - Garden Party (2008)
Garden Party is pretty much known exclusively for being Jennifer Lawrence’s debut. Since the film’s release in 2008, Lawrence has gone on to win an Oscar, star in the biggest movies of the past decade and be an almost unavoidable force in pop culture, however this is far from a smash.
Like most independent filmmakers lacking creative flair, director and writer Jason Freeland turned Garden Party into the standard tale of teenagers looking to find themselves in the big city.
The film touches on the darker side of Los Angeles and looks at the cycle of abuse that the system encourages. It’s not bad, but it’s also not well written or particularly memorable.
