Ready Player One: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

9. Ogden Morrow

Ready Player One Ogden Morrow
Warner Bros.

Simon Pegg, reuniting with Spielberg after 2011's The Adventures of Tintin, is an excellent fit for Ogden Morrow, the business partner of Mark Rylance's James Halliday.

In the flashback sequences, he serves as a nice foil to Halliday, something akin to the Wozniak to his Jobs. A much more grounded individual who has concerns about the game and how people are using it, Pegg and Rylance make for a solid double-act.

He re-appears later on in the present day too (and Pegg weirdly suits the old man make-up), providing a nice touch of pathos in the film in a role that Pegg is easily capable. of.

NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far. A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
