Recasting X-Men: 14 Actors Who Need To Replace Singer's Mutants

13. Joe Manganiello - Sabretooth

X Men Kirsten Stewart Rogue
Universal & Fox

Sabretooth was played by stuntman Tyler Mane in the first X-Men movie and disappeared from the franchise until 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine, where he was played by Liev Schreiber and was basically one of the few not-terrible things in that movie.

Though word persists that Schreiber may appear in next year's Logan in a small role, it doesn't seem massively likely given how late in production he was still negotiating with the producers.

While the core X-Men series could easily get along just fine without the character, it'd be great to see him get his fair due, after his two prior iterations ultimately didn't live up to their full potential.

Joe Manganiello is an absolute unit of a man, a tremendous physical specimen with charisma to boot. He'd knock Sabretooth right out of the park, as long as it didn't clash with his playing Deathstroke for Warner Bros, of course.
