Recasting X-Men: 14 Actors Who Need To Replace Singer's Mutants

12. Kristen Stewart - Rogue

With the next core X-Men movie being set in the 1990s, you can probably forget about Rogue being in it (as she was a high schooler in the original X-Men movie, released in 2000 but set in 2003). Of course, Fox could still just take the series' usual "f*** it" approach to continuity and shove her in anyway.

It's more likely that Rogue won't be recast until two core X-Men movies from now, though, and Bryan Singer could do much worse than cast the supremely talented Kristen Stewart, who would be about 30 years old by the time the film probably began shooting (approximately 2020-2021), making her too old for a high-schooler but perfect for a slightly older, early-twenties take on the character.

She's a brilliant actress now she's got Twilight out of her system (being the only American actress in history to win a coveted Cesar Award), has a look that fits Rogue perfectly, and would be a major step-up from Anna Paquin's rather bland, unpopular portrayal of Rogue from the original trilogy.
