Red Notice Review: 5 Ups & 5 Downs

4. Gal Gadot Steals The Show

Red Notice Gal Gadot

Despite the larger-than-life presences of Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds, it's Gal Gadot who runs away with the MVP honours, bringing cheeky wit and charm to a film that often lacks it whenever she's off-screen.

If Gadot's dramatic work has received mixed reviews in the past, she proves here that she's far more of a natural in a comedic role.

As the smug, unflappable criminal super-genius always a few steps ahead of everyone else, Gadot is clearly having a great time and that sense of fun transpires through to the audience.

In the event that a sequel does indeed happen, it needs to pivot the focus to The Bishop, who is by far the most appealing and interesting character here.
