Reservoir Dogs: Every Character & Performance Ranked
8. Mr. Brown - Quentin Tarantino
In the case of Mr. Brown the writing of his dialogue is better than the execution. While not bad necessarily, it is very fitting that the first piece of dialogue in Tarantino’s directorial filmography is uttered by the man himself.
Mr. Brown is over Mr. Blue by the pure fact of having dialogue which - while limited - is excellently written and sets the scene for the phenomenal opening scene of Reservoir Dogs.
Mr. Brown’s seeming rant on Madonna’s ‘Like A Virgin’ is great, and he also has the bonus of having an on screen death, which sets the scene for Mr. Orange’s and Mr. White’s arc.
