3. The Solid Recreations Of Classic Franchise Settings

Though it's again apparent that the film was constrained by its budget, the production design team do deserve a measure of credit for impressively recreating two of the series' most iconic locations.

Both the RPD station and the Spencer mansion actually look pretty great, honestly: the station's iconic, opulent lobby area is lovingly represented here, and while the Mansion is noticeably smaller than in the games, it's used well to create a sense of claustrophobia.

It's a shame that the script doesn't support these solid crafts elements, because it's clear that the design team put a lot of effort into ensuring these settings were accurate to the source material.
