Rob Schwentke is ENTERING HADES

FLIGHTPLAN director Robert Schwentke is to direct ENTERING HADES... an adaptation of John Leake's book about real life Austrian journalist/serial killer Jack Unterweger which was published late last year according to Variety. If you know anything about Jack, he is a really compelling figure for psychological study and of course inevitably for film. He led a double life as reformed killer who after serving 15 years in prison for the murder of an 18 year old with her own bra, took to writing (which he became good at in prison) and became a journalist working for an Austrian magazine. in 1990. He was given the assignment of writing about prostitution in L.A, where three American escorts were killed. Unterweger wrote about the murders in the magazine... but of course he was the one who killed them. He was later linked with the deaths of a total of 9 women in the brief time after his release from prison before his suicide at the age of 42 in 1994. It's all depicted in this informative documentary, part 1 below... the rest after the jump...

REST OF THE DOCUMENTARY BELOW

Schwentke has been working for the last two years on THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE which because of the merger between New Line Cinema and it's new owners Warner Bros. has lost it's way and has suffered a massive delay which could see it released at any given month of 2009.

Though probably not the first quarter as even though the movie is believed to be complete, no trailer or poster has been released.
