Robbery at Spielberg's Indy 4 office
High drama on Indy 4 as "confidential and proprietary materials" are nabbed from the production office.
news on an extra fired from INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL for blabbing spoilers on the net. I felt the guy was harshly treated (read him the riot act and move on, Stevie!), though judging from the mildly psychotic reply from OWF reader ALK in that post I'm probably in the minority. Now comes another incident that on the movie that I feel completely the opposite way about. Sensitive materials - including over 2000 stills, computers and possibly even the film's script - have been stolen from the Indy offices and the thief has been going around touting this material to online journalists... but only if they'd part with a hefty sum of cash first. But that's not all. The FBI and LAPD apprehended the criminal at a hotel on Sunset with the help of an unnamed online reporte who set up a meeting with the thief. The thought of someone like Harry Knowles wired up as part of a sting makes me giddy with delight - though I'd guess the unnamed reporter was someone from IESB as they're running the most detailed story on what went down. Sounds exciting. I'd have been game for that. If any Brit anti-piracy groups are reading I'd like to let them know I'm available for undercover sting work! I'm glad this all worked out and they caught the offender, this guy is a crook, plain and simple, give him jail time and he'll learn his lesson. source - iesb
