4. Inspector Javert - Les Miserables

Aside from acting and throwing telephones, on of Crowe's favourite pasttimes is singing - he's performed in several bands over the decades. This makes it all the more shocking that his turn of Inspector Javert in Les Mis is so unbelievably bad.

Its incredibly low hanging fruit to mock his misguided decision to join a cast alongside Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathaway, but you just can't listen to him and take it seriously. It's flat singing, but what makes it stand out is that it's such a step down from everyone else.

Because hes clearly trying so hard to hold a tune, everything else is put on the backseat. We never really get to learn Javert's motivations beyond being petty and a subplot with him undercover beggars belief. Perhaps he thought it was a parody and nobody told him.
