Ryan Reynolds: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked
4. Hannibal King - Blade: Trinity
Blade: Trinity, or, the one where Wesley Snipes featured in an almost cameo role, managed to survive as a credible trilogy closer all thanks to Reynolds. As Hannibal King, part of the secret vampire killing group, the Nightstalkers, he is a ripped, wise-cracking weapon, bent on taking down the daddy of all blood suckers: Dracula. Paired up with Jessica Biel and with Blade on the sidelines - Snipes was reportedly livid with David S. Goyer being brought on board to direct, despite writing the previous two entries - these production woes made for more screentime for Reynolds and gained him a whole new fanbase. As much of the whole required Reynolds to show off some nifty blade skills, this was the role that also got studio execs and comic fans alike chattering about the prospect of Reynolds one day donning the Deadpool jumpsuit.
