6. Adam Sandler's Irritating Performance

Yes, this is yet another case of Sandler playing a character with an obnoxiously irritating voice, apparently with the intent of sounding as grating and off-putting as humanly possible.

Sure, it's not Little Nicky levels of stab-a-fork-in-my-ears annoying, but the fact that the title character is so irksome from the outset makes it tough to feel even remotely sympathetic for him later on when the movie courts sentiment.

You may not be left praying for Sandy's demise by film's end, but as expected, this is Sandler basically returning to the well of cringe-worthy, creepily-voiced goofballs he's played throughout much of his career.
