20 Most Satisfying Horror Movie Villain Deaths EVER

In the pantheon of Stephen King screen adaptations, Mike Flanagan's Doctor Sleep serves up one of his more compelling villains by way of Rose the Hat (Rebecca Ferguson) - a psychic vampire who leads a group of like-minded individuals called the True Knot.

Rose and her clan torture and kill psychic individuals in order to feed on their essence called steam, their despicable nature cemented when they kidnap a young baseball player (Jacob Tremblay) and slowly murder him for their own gain.

But in the climax set at the iconic Overlook Hotel, Danny Torrance (Ewan McGregor) unleashes the hotel's occupants from his psychic "lockboxes," at which point they subdue and devour Rose in much the same agonising fashion that she fed off her own victims.

You can argue that Rose's remorselessly predatory nature made her deserving of a far more prolonged death, but it's absolutely fitting that she had her grotesque modus operandi turned against her.
