3. Barry's A Great Character

There's lots of interesting character ideas in Sausage Party, but the one who comes together the most as a fully-formed foodstuff is Barry. Played by Michael Cera, as with This Is The End he's once again something of a self-referencing joke, with the deformed sausage starting out as the runt of the pack before going on a massive adventure (that sentence is why this movie is ultimately fun).

He's the only one who gets a proper development arc, and while it's incredibly obvious (even the rather satisfying tangential payoff is heavily signposted), it makes him an interesting character to watch, especially in his later, more manic state.
