14. Sidney Is (Probably) Married To Detective Kincaid
After speaking with Sam and Richie and refusing to help them further, Dewey calls Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and lets her know what's going on.
Sidney is now living a quiet, normal life elsewhere with two children and a husband, and when Dewey urges her to stay away from Woodsboro, she makes it abundantly clear she has no plans to return.
The interesting thing to note about this scene, however, is that Sid refers to her husband by the name "Mark," prompting speculation from fans that she's married to Detective Mark Kincaid (Patrick Dempsey) from Scream 3.
This would make a certain amount of sense given their mild flirtation in that film, even though Scream 4 makes it clear that Sid is single, and it doesn't seem terribly likely she and Kincaid would become reacquainted so many years later.
But it's certainly not impossible, and for the script to needlessly namedrop Sid's husband seems totally pointed and intentional.
