Scream VI: 22 WTF Moments

One of the worst parts of Scream 5 was the rather silly decision to have Sam be taunted by visions of her father, Billy Loomis, with a digitally de-aged Skeet Ulrich reprising his role.

And Billy returns for Scream VI too, appearing in three brief scenes throughout the film - all of them in reflections of windows - to play-up the notion that Sam has a killer instinct residing inside her.

Firstly we see Billy when the heroes discover the Ghostface shrine, as he tries to encourage Sam to take up his mantle so they can become "Team Loomis."

Then, in the movie's climax he suggests Sam should pick up the very knife he used in the original Woodsboro slayings, and in the film's final scene we see his face reflected in a cop car, confirming that this aspect of Sam's psyche hasn't gone anywhere.

Maybe the filmmakers should just drop this gimmick for Scream 7, because it really doesn't work.
