8. Ghostface ALMOST Kills Gale
One of the most unnerving sequences in the film occurs when Gale and her new boyfriend, Brooks (Thomas Cadrot), are attacked at her New York penthouse.
One Ghostface calls Gale to taunt her, all while another attacks and kills Brooks, yet six movies into the franchise Gale is of course more-than-prepared to be terrorised.
Gale puts up one hell of a fight against Ghostface even before grabbing her gun and popping a few rounds in their direction, and in an all-time genius move for the series, hangs up on Ghostface and re-dials the number, revealing their location.
It's at this point, however, that the tables get turned, with Ghostface overpowering Gale and brutally stabbing her twice.
Ghostface gets extremely close to finishing Gale off before Sam makes the save with a gun, but it's enough to hospitalise Gale with grave injuries and take her out for the rest of the movie.
For a second there, it really seemed like they were going to kill Gale off.
