Seth Rogen: 5 Awesome Performances And 5 That Sucked

1. Admiral Seasholtz, Alien & Roach - Fanboys

Fanboys is a giant love letter to the Star Wars film franchise. The movie takes place in the late 1990s, roughly 6 months before Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace comes out. A group of friends find out that one of their own has been diagnosed with cancer and only has a few months to live. They plot to break into Skywalker Ranch and steal a rough cut of the film so that Linus (the one with cancer) can have a chance to see the movie before he dies.

Fanboys has a lot of cool cameos and contains a few touching moments toward the end. Overall, it's not as funny as it could have been, thanks to some uninspired jokes and messy writing.

In this movie, Seth Rogen manages to play THREE separate roles...all of them the worst thing he's ever done, though the absolute worst is a character with an incredibly bad mustache, terrible Southern accent and a plethora of tattoos. The entire character is forced and feels like Seth just learned his lines 5 minutes before walking on set. It was probably done in just one or two takes and it definitely shows. His scenes are awkward to the point of being distracting and seem to drag on and on. Worst of all, he€™s not funny in his scenes that are clearly meant to be laugh-out-loud.
