Severance director heading to The Bermuda Triangle

chrissmith.jpgChristopher Smith's horror/comedy Severance was a movie I never got round to seeing but I have watched his previous horror effort Creep which I found to be utter garbage. Creep tried to hard to create itself a "creepy" atmosphere which for some parts it succeeded, but of course by doing this it completely forgot about it's plot and characters. Severance is said to be far superior though. The British helmer has spoke of his future plans to Shock Till You Drop, where he revealed his next movie will be set around The Bermuda Triangle...
"It has taken me four years to write it and it's a movie that's a major step up in terms of budget," he says. "How it has to be handled is in a very sophisticated way. " "It's a psychological horror film set on an ocean liner. Weirdly, it's a movie that will play in time loops, like a character getting stuck in a glitch. That's what the Bermuda Triangle is and this character has to combat her way back. It's a slick idea that I will get bang-on right."
Hey, I really like that idea. I once saw a documentary on the Bermuda Triangle and I found it fascinating. Just hearing about how many ships, flights and people have gone missing in that zone was really interesting but of course it is a load of shit but everyone likes their conspiracy theories. Smith seems confident enough that he has wrote himself a good script for the movie, which he is simply calling Triangle. The movie will be made over at the strangely sounding Dan Films. Although Severance has been out for sometime here in the U.K, it is set to hit U.S. cinema's in two weeks time.
