3. Shang-Chi
Ideally, the titular superhero would always take the #1 spot in their own movie, yet it's not a disservice at all to Simu Liu's Shang-Chi that he lands at #3 instead.
From the moment we meet him, Shang-Chi - or as he's known then, "Shaun" - is a welcome riposte to the typical, privileged superhero protagonist we've seen so many times in the MCU.
He may have a Special Set of Skills drilled into him from a young age by his father, but he's not a squeaky-clean Good Guy by any means.
Obviously this becomes more interesting when we learn the full grim extent of his past later in the film, allowing him to own up to his misdeeds and eventually move past them.
While it's tough to imagine Shang-Chi becoming a top-line MCU superhero any time soon, that's not really a criticism of anything here, just that the competition is so damn good.
The film will certainly leave fans eager to see more of him as soon as possible, because between his complex past and incredible fighting style, there's nobody else quite like him in the franchise right now.
