Shang-Chi: Every Main Character Ranked From Worst To Best

2. Trevor Slattery

Shang Chi
Marvel Studios

Sorry Shang-Chi, but you're no match for the powerless old man who ended up stealing every single scene he was in.

Though it wasn't particularly surprising that Iron Man 3's fake-terrorist Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) made an appearance in the film, few could've expected him to have such a prominent supporting part.

And to Kingsley's eternal credit, he turns it up to 11 every time he's on screen here, stealing the show every time he opens his damn mouth with his riotous array of one-liners.

Having him become Wenwu's prisoner following the events of Iron Man 3 and the "All Hail the King" short is an obvious choice, but Slattery's continually aloof behaviour just keeps pushing the farcical nature of his imprisonment further and further.

While on paper having him become a major part of the plot, calling upon Morris to help guide the heroes to Ta Lo, could've been a step too silly, Slattery ultimately provides well-placed, gut-busting comic relief.

And as some icing on the cake, he even ends up surviving the events of the movie somehow. Take a bow, Sir Ben.
