7. The FANTASTIC Action Sequences
Aside from its overdone finale, Shang-Chi touts some of the most creative and visually intriguing action sequences in the MCU's recent history - if not ever.
There's a real emphasis here on tight, fluid fight choreography, all of which is filmed with slick imagination by director Destin Daniel Cretton.
The aforementioned bus fight is an easy highlight for sure, but the film is packed with eye-popping martial arts set-pieces that recall the heyday of Jackie Chan among others.
Compare the action here to that of Black Widow, where it felt so utterly pedestrian and forgettable.
Here, there's a real personality and sense of fun to the action, paying homage to its forebears while also making the most of modern filmmaking technologies.
