Sharknado 2: The Second One - 14 Awesomely Ridiculous Moments

5. Shark vs. Chainsaw

The unquestionable money shot of the movie and the image that has been used heavily in the movie's marketing is that of Fin taking on a shark with a chainsaw. Moments after delivering the rallying speech to his fellow New Yorkers atop a fire truck, Fin notices a shark flying out of the sky towards him (and again, the shark appears to move not an inch while the camera cuts away), and reaches for his chainsaw. He revs it up and shoves it into the face of the shark, bisecting it in one gloriously gory, slow-motion shot, to the combined disgust and excitement of his New York audience. It's perhaps the only effects shot in the movie that doesn't look like complete garbage: even in motion, this shot looks incredibly cool, and is probably what that tasty cash injection from Subway paid for. Hopefully we'll get more genuinely awesome moments like this in Sharknado 3, depending on whether this movie's success allows for a slightly higher budget next time or not.
