Though anyone going to see a movie from the freak who made Longlegs and The Monkey was surely primed to expect a bonkers twist, who saw Oz Perkins' Keeper ending up quite like this?

In act three, we learn that Liz's (Tatiana Maslany) partner Malcolm (Rossif Sutherland) is actually around 200 years old, because when he and his cousin Darren (Birkett Turton) were youngsters, they shot a pregnant woman on their property, who then gave birth to strange creatures before being killed by the pair.

These creatures have since granted Malcolm and Darren an extended lifespan in exchange for continually delivering women for them to feed on - women who Liz has seen visions of in the present day.

And so when the creatures finally renege on their deal at film's end, we see Malcolm age rapidly into an incredibly old man, moments before Liz kills him by dunking him head-first in a giant jar of honey.
