2. Returning Cast
There were a lot of concerns in pre-production, given the cast members who are unable to return; Michael Clarke Duncan and Brittany Murphy have both died since the first film (Manute is now being played by Dennis Haysbert, though Murphy's Shellie can likely be left out of the film altogether without too much trouble), while Devon Aoki is pregnant, and is therefore unable to reprise her role as Miho, and has been replaced by Jamie Chung. Though these alterations and omissions are regrettable to say the least, there's little can be done about them, so it's best to just focus on the more important aspects of the cast; none of the replaced characters are the leads, and all the principals from the previous film - Rourke, Alba, Owen etc - will be returning to play in Sin City 2. These are the actors who made their roles supremely iconic, and while the supporting replacements are unfortunate, they won't make or sink the film, despite what whining fanboys might suggest.
