Sin City: A Dame To Kill For - 15 Easter Eggs & References You Must See

2. Nudey Fights There's another couple of call-backs to the first film in the fight sequences between Dwight, Marv and Manute that serve as the climax to the A Dame To Kill For narrative, which was probably a necessity given how long the film releases were apart. First off, Dwight faces off against Manute naked, just as Hartigan fought the Yellow Bastard while the villain was naked in the first film as he attempted to rape and torture Nancy. Also when Marv is beating up the security guards in helping Dwight rescue Ava, he spots Manute, and takes vengeance on him for an earlier beating doled out on Dwight. Filled with rage, he tackles the man mountain through a window and delivers a savage beating that puts Dwight's inability to take him down with a gun into perspective. The result of the fight is that Marv plucked out one of Manute's eyes, calling forward to the character design of the original movie, that features Michael Clark Duncan with a steam-punk golden glass eye.
