Sin City: A Dame To Kill For - 15 Easter Eggs & References You Must See

1. The Noir Cameos As mentioned, there's also a cameo appearance for Robert Rodriguez and creator Frank Miller - or in actual fact there are a number- one of which was spoiled in the first trailer for the film. That teaser opened on Nancy watching a noir movie featuring Miller and Rodriguez as the central characters, giving the film a nice self-referential generic nod. The movie within a movie scene is important, as it ties in to the over-arching theme of Sin City itself. In the clip, the creative duo sit opposite one another in an alley in what is clearly the aftermath of a shoot-out. The pair exchange a few words: Frank: You shot me in the gut. Robert: It wasn€™t me, Sam. It was the babe. Frank: This rotten town€ it soils everybody it touches. That last line is important as it is repeated at the end of A Dame To Kill For by Nancy herself. Rodriguez has said that he had that line from the beginning, and thought it sounded like something from a 1940s noir film, hence the inclusion in the film. The original intention was to cast two actors to take the roles, but they shot it last, and were so exhausted that they just faked it themselves, which is probably why Rodriguez is clearly wearing contemporary jeans and shoes.... There are also cameos for Juno Temple, Ray Liotta, and Christopher Lloyd. Did you notice any other Easter Eggs in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For? Share your finds below in the comments thread.
