One of the most hotly anticipated movies of the year, James Bond 007 is back at the end of October with Skyfall, a return to the stand-alone adventures of the world's most famous and illustrious secret agent. With acclaimed director Sam Mendes helming it and a top-notch cast appearing to backup Daniel Craig's third outing, it seems as though that for once, the hype surrounding a Bond film is actually worth it. The producers have a lot to prove, however - after MGM entered bankruptcy, the fate of the entire series seemed to hinge on timing, fate and a bit of a lucky break. Fortunately, the studio survived the dangerous economic climate and after releasing smash-hit and fan favourite horror The Cabin in the Woods earlier this year, it seems that the chance to reclaim footing is back, particularly after the last Bond film proved to be... dividing at best.
