Solo: A Star Wars Story - 10 Questions We Still Have
3. Will There Be Any Prequel References?
As already mentioned, Solo is set in a rather interesting period of the Star Wars universe, taking place at almost the exact mid-point of the 19-year gap between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.
As a result, there's quite a bit of potential for the film to reference the characters and events from George Lucas' controversial prequels, but the question is: will they actually bother?
Prediction: Rogue One encouragingly brought back prequel characters Bail Organa and Mon Mothma, but given Solo's seemingly stricter focus away from the Empire and its shenanigans, it would indeed be far easier for it to just ignore the prequels entirely.
There will be Easter eggs, for sure, but it's pretty optimistic to expect any overt nods to the events of the prequels.
