Though the Hutt Cartel is given a passing mention during the movie, there's a more interesting - if just barely ambiguous - nod made to the legendary Jabba the Hutt in particular.

Beckett tells Han that he plans to head to Tatooine where "a big-shot gangster is putting together a crew", with the clear implication being that this gangster is Jabba himself (who sadly doesn't cameo in the film).

Still, the end of the movie makes it abundantly clear that a sequel will most likely see Han arriving on Tatooine and meeting Jabba, which will surely result in their falling foul of one another by film's end.

Of all the sequel-bait this movie set up, this was at least one of the more genuinely intriguing teases.
