One of the most blatant and sure-to-be-divisive fan-service moments in Solo sees the movie explaining how Han got his iconic surname "Solo".

When signing up for the Imperial Academy in a rush, he doesn't give a surname, and so the registrar signing him up pauses for a moment before settling on Solo...because he signed up on his own and only has one name...or something. Get it?

Many fans joked pre-release that the film would include a ham-fisted explanation for Han's name and, well, there it is.
