Solo: A Star Wars Story - Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
8. Dryden Vos
Paul Bettany - a replacement for Michael K. Williams when Ron Howard came onboard and scheduling conflicts necessitated the change - isn't in the movie a lot, as it's mostly the sheer threat his name carries that forces others into action.
When he does appear, though, he does a fine job of bringing that malevolence to life. His facial scarring certainly gives him a memorable look, and Bettany gives the gangster plenty of surface-level charm without covering up the danger that lurks just below too much.
Ultimately he works to setup the bigger turns of Beckett and Qi'ra, and the cleverness of Han, and he won't be joining the pantheon of great Star Wars villains anytime soon, but he does his job well for the needs of the movie.
