Solo: A Star Wars Story Review - 7 Ups And 4 Downs

4. Once It Gets Going, It Absolutely Flies

The first third of the movie is its clunkiest, with the movie spluttering to get going and start firing on all cylinders, with the pacing on Mimban (with the Empire) and Vandor-1 (the train sequence) noticeably starting to drag, and to a lesser extent on Corellia too.

However, once the main mission of the movie is in place and the team put together, it all roars into life and hardly ever looks back. We go through some of the main beats of Han's story, hit a few emotional highpoints, and the chemistry between the cast is electric, with Han, Chewie, and Lando especially all great to see together on screen.
