Spectre: 23 Easter Eggs & References You Need To See

9. The Classic DB5

Despite being replaced by the new one off DB10, the old faithful DB5 does appear - as teased by the trailer. The car is being worked on in Q's strange secret underground lair (initially appearing under a green tarp, which mysteriously disappears) after Bond left it in pieces. Having reappeared locked away (almost symbolically) in Skyfall the classic car also gets to drive off into the sunset with Bond, both patched up and completed in one of the most on the nose metaphors in the history of cinema. Quite why anyone thought it necessary to rebuild what amounts to a relic is beyond logic, but it does very much fit with the idea of the film as a living museum piece. The same scene also includes the Quantum Of Solace Aston Martin, as well as a typically Bondian quad-bike and what looks suspiciously like the black Yamaha XT500, For from Your Eyes Only.
